NMDSI Day In the Life of a Data Scientist Series
Project Management Intern
This project aimed to showcase various career paths available in data science. I developed this content series for the Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute’s (NMDSI) website. My goal for the series was to provide meaningful insights for readers while highlighting the expertise of NMDSI experts. Additionally, the articles intended to communicate the opportunities available within the data and technology field to high school students and emerging young professionals. By sharing personal experiences, readers can better understand the unique job positions available within the data space.
For this project, I was tasked with creating innovative content that would elevate the NMDSI brand and resonate with readers. After researching how other data science institutes engage with their audiences, I identified a gap in the market for personalized content. Additionally, one of the main challenges I faced was coordinating communication across various teams. Yet, the series remains ongoing, with a new data science expert featured each month.
By incorporating edits from the NMDSI communications team, these articles have contributed to expanding our content readership and website traffic. One of the main takeaways from the project is the importance of pitching meaningful content ideas directed toward a target audience. By clearly addressing the “why” for readers, ideas can be communicated and turned into engaging content. Additionally, thanks to the collaboration of my team, I honed my skills in writing insightful interview questions and formatting articles in AP style.

Green Bay Packers Social Media Advertisement
Student
This project was intended to persuade Green Bay Packers fans to attend upcoming home games as a part of my Sports and Entertainment Marketing class. For this assignment, I was tasked with creating an advertisement aligned with a sports team’s brand image while incorporating consumer insights. Over three days, I conceptualized the campaign, edited the images, and incorporated constructive feedback from my peers.

For this project, I researched key aspects of what makes the Packers a legendary franchise. Notable elements included the tradition of the Lambeau Leap, the legacy of coach Vince Lombardi, the history of franchise quarterbacks, and the Packers being the only fan-owned franchise in America. I centered the campaign around the excitement of Jordon Love’s career and these unique characteristics that define the Packers.

By applying key course concepts, I successfully completed the assignment and received positive feedback from my professor. The main challenges was balancing the unique qualities in a visually appealing manner without overcomplicating the design. However, through this project, I learned valuable knowledge of marketing strategy and storytelling through graphic design.
